The use of biometric technology has been on the rise for quite some time. There is also an expansion of use cases and sales numbers because of the ability to integrate with access control and other security systems. 

The terms touchless and frictionless hold new weight in the physical security industry, and various biometric technologies contribute to adopting both. Biometrics systems are now less expensive, have increased accuracy, and can integrate easily in many scenarios.
