Distributed Antenna Systems
In-building Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) have become a critical part of both carrier cellular networks and enterprise infrastructure. A DAS is a network of antennas that sends and receives cellular signals on a carrier’s licensed frequencies, thereby improving voice and data connectivity for end-users. Low Voltage Solutions, Inc. specializes in the overall design and installation of these systems to help increase and stabilize coverage where connectivity is critical for overall communication, operations, and building safety.
WIRELESS SOLUTIONS
TO ENHANCE YOUR
CELLULAR COVERAGE
-
The most comprehensive testing method for signal frequency, bandwidth, and signal strength is utilizing a signal meter. LVS kicks off each DAS project by surveying the site and assessing all areas of coverage and customizes a solution based on your needs.
-
A distributed antenna system (DAS) is a network of antennas that are spread out and connected to a single signal source to provide wireless service over a specific area. There are three main types of DAS signal distribution systems: passive DAS, active DAS, and hybrid DAS.
DAS is often used to improve wireless coverage and capacity in areas that might otherwise be unserviceable.
-
Small cell cellular networks are wireless communication infrastructures that use low-powered cellular base stations to improve network capacity and coverage in areas with high user density or limited space.
Small cells are important for expanding 5G networks and providing targeted coverage in specific spaces, such as densely populated city centers.
They can also provide high-quality, secure cellular coverage indoors and out.
-
A private cellular network (PCN) is a dedicated wireless network that is owned and operated by the organization for their exclusive use.
PCNs are similar to public cellular networks, but they are scaled down and offer a secure, reliable alternative.
-
Public Safety DAS is a series of antennas throughout a building or structure that provide enhanced two-way radio service, evenly distributing the amplified signals.
This system ensures that first responders can seamlessly communicate within the building and with those outside without interruption in service during an emergency.
-
Based upon the site survey and signal meter results, LVS works with the customer to align the specific needs, future goals, and installation strategy to ensure all areas are covered ahead of proposing a solution. LVS has many DAS manufacturing partners and will recommend the best solution for the site's needs.
-
Whether customers need a specific carrier or an agnostic solution, LVS has the right partners in place to ensure whatever service carrier is needed on site can be fulfilled.
-
After the plan is put in place with the customer, LVS field technicians will come on site to complete the installation of the distributed antenna system. All coordination of labor, materials, and project completion is handled by the LVS team.
-
Should any issues arise with the completed distributed antenna system, our service department is able to dispatch technicians within 24-48 hours.
